(D0 Morning - The Vault) The First Mark

[Raven Cadera]

It was hard not to chuckle a little bit at Varina's indignation over being called cute, and Raven managed to keep it down to a brief snicker and a smirk. "Yeah, sure you're not." Her armored hand reached out and ruffled Varina's already messy hair.

"You know who built this vault then?" she asked, looking to Irizka.

[Varina Ordo]

"Stop, stop!" Varina said to both of them. When it came for hair ruffles, she slipped out as soon as possible and rubbed it herself as if that did anything. "Well, uh, if we know about the Vault, the definitely important thing right now... Then we can guess better as to what's inside."

[Irizka]

"I know who built this, and it is not a vault but an armory. I only need from it a select few items when my business with your Mandalore is complete," they reveal, taking a few more steps down the stairs so that they were a touch more conversationally distance and meeting the women on even ground.

Totally not having a bad feeling about this. Nope. Not at all. Nope.

Raven distracted herself by looking at Varina for a moment. She'd have to trust Mandalore's judgement, surely he knew what he was doing... and knew more about this mysterious guest.

"Still think you can do it?" she asked Varina, goading the teenager a little, but mostly trying to make her realise that this armory was out of her league.

[Varina Ordo]

An armory, well, was both intriguing and boring. Everything was always about weaponry for Mandalorians. Even a rare sword wasn't that different from what she could already do. She'd just kill a little bit faster.

A challenge, though, due to doubt in her abilities? Varina went back to looking around the door. "I don't know. I still think that opening it a normal way is a mistake. Oh, maybe if I got a floor plan of this whole place... You got one of those?"

[Irizka]

"Unfortunately, anyone with such knowledge died long before the eldest member of any of your lines that you might possibly be aware of," they say with chilling simplicity.

"However," a smirk grows, "I am certain to be amused in watching any attempts you might wish to muster. Perhaps, should you open it yourself, I might be able to amend the deal with your Mandalore."

"You seem to know a lot," Raven remarked, perhaps even with a touch of respect in her tone. Despite not being a very knowledgeable person herself, she had a great respect for those who did know things. Knowledge was a strength, for sure.

"I don't think I've heard, but how did you and Mandalore meet?"

[Irizka]

"Ah," they focus on Raven, a spark of interest in their eye. "And you seem to be asking the correct questions, dear child. I was approached by your Mandalore through a joined acquaintance. Much as you may understand, there are brokers for such meetings across the galaxy. Those with information on which others wish most to know."

"Your Mandalore is known well in these circles for his desire for information regarding your shared history, and as a resource of such knowledge he was pointed to myself."

So Mandalore had informants that notified him on people with... information on Mandalorian-stuff? That's what it sounded like to her. She knew Prayton was quite scholar himself on the subject of Mandalorian history and culture, but there would always be people who knew more, Raven assumed.

"I see..." she said, glancing back to Varina, Rezzie, and then the door. "You must be quite the scholar then, it seems like. I didn't think it was much of interest to people outside of the Mandalorian culture to know about Mandalorian history and such."

"You will come to learn that there is much history of which only I have been able to become witness to, that no other might possess," they say, and though they sound as if there is a hidden touch of pride behind those words that very tone feels somewhat hollow.

There was, after all, truthfully no pride in the way they expressed this idea. After all, was there anything more easily knowable to a Mandalorian than pride?

"Well, yeah, but I suppose that can account for everybody to some degree...?" Everyone had seen some glimpses of history and what-would-become-history at some point. "Though I take it you mean it in a different way. Sounds like you get around the galaxy."

[Irizka]

"Much more recently, yes-" they say, looking past everyone present to the door. Staring at it for longer than anyone would consider appropriate conversationally. As if finishing another conversation Irizka looks back to Raven, and the others present.

"I have not spent time among others in many years. I find the experience to walk among different people's rather invigorating after so long. Perhaps that is why my and your Mandalore's interests have finally aligned," they say, as if almost to end cap the conversation. Though they do not yet depart the senation that they will imminently is more felt than spoken.

[Varina Ordo]

Varina shrugged. "That librarian lady seemed to have an interest in Mandalorians. And, well, look what happened from that." She took one more look at the door then sighed. "Well, we'll see if I come back to looking at this door. Good seeing you, Raven."
