[Griddak Madclaw]

Griddak is in the gym early most mornings. At his age he has to keep up with training. He is currently practicing some arm locks and dislocation techniques on the training droid. Because practicing on people would likely be unwise.

''You break it, you bay it''

So was the procclamation of the gym's new arrival, grinning wide

''Ja heard de quartermaster is getting tired of wrecked droids and gonna start dedacting it from your pay...it's only what ja heard though.''

[Griddak Madclaw]

He greets his roommate with a nod and a higher pitched rumble, asking how he's doing. He then points out that he's going to make the repairs himself because they're pretty simple for a dislocation. Besides, he explains, what is the purpose of having a combat training droid if you don't train properly with it, Griddak asks with a wookiee smirk.

[Suis'louche]

''Ja am fine, Griddy, and you how are you?'' he looked closer at the training droid ''Go easy old piece of fluff, y'all are gonna pull a muscle''

He raised his hands

''Ja ain't gonna push your wheelchair on the field!''

The wookiee jokes that the only muscle he plans on pulling is his enemy's. With a rumbling laugh he smiles at the gungans own jokes. Griddak says he can help Suis get a wheelchair if he wants one, and let's him know he'll ask the armorer to shape it like a basilisk.

[Suis'louche]

''Psha!'' he waves a hand ''Boast all you want but...'' he grew serious ''...Ja ain't the one to clog the showar's drain ain't ja?''

He frowned

''Ja ain't cleaning after you! You are more then old enough!''

[Soleene Stryss]

Soleene was around earlier at the gym, working on her own combination of warm-ups and some fitness routines. Commotions and yelling weren't exactly uncommon in a place where Mandalorians frequent, so what the Gungan was going about her didn't exactly snag her attention at first as she was doing her weights. However, she might have felt a bit obligated to give glance at them a few times in case a fight or a match broke out. If that was the case, she wanted to get dibs on the standing room first before a crowd could gather.

He explains that he's pretty sure he cleared it out and apologizes if he missed some. Griddak then puts his hand where the Gungans ear would be while opening his multi-tool hand, explaining that neither of them are strangers to leaving parts of themselves behind with a chuffing chuckle.

Griddak gives a nod in Soleene's direction, but doesn't otherwise interfere with her workout. An invitation to let her know she can join them whenever.

He then takes the droids arm and holds it in socket, telling it to keep still while he sets it back in place with a couple applications of his cybernetic tool hand.

Soleene was more or less done with the core of her workout, everything else would have been nice but something she can put off to another time. She stood to her feet and dusted her hands off before strolling over to the two. "That's a lot of hubbub over a droid arm but hey, I don't see all that big of a deal if he could fix it. Have you two been roommates for a while or something?"

''Yeah well what do you want?'' he grins and leans on the nerby wall ''De ladies like me so mach some can't help themselves taking souvenirs to remember me by.''

He did finger guns towards the old wookie

''Far the hair I think...well...I'll talk to you later. It's a silly idea''

Soleene was more or less done with the core of her workout, everything else would have been nice but something she can put off to another time. She stood to her feet and dusted her hands off before strolling over to the two. "That's a lot of hubbub over a droid arm but hey, I don't see all that big of a deal if he could fix it. ''Oh hello there. Ja was simply pulling his big hairy leg bat Griddy saw through me...we have been sharing a room for a long while.''

''Far the hair I think...well...I'll talk to you later. It's a silly idea''

The wookiee states plainly that they're not making a sweater, then gives a wookiee smirk.

Griddak agrees with Suis'louche's explanation, but adds on that the maintenance folks probably get annoyed at him wearing out droid parts with repeated dismemberments, though the current arm joints were refreshed about three months ago so they should be good for a while, assuming he doesn't go hard enough to crack them like last time. He then laments that they don't make special limb removal training dummies for wookiee wrestling practice.

"Oh, so you two go some ways back, then? It might have been quite the first impression, I take it," she said as she gave an alternating glance to the two. Then again, the galaxy was large enough to bring any two people to the Enclave.

"I take it there isn't really much of a demand for it," she said to Griddak regarding the droid. "I'm sure droids that have removable limbs that are meant to be removed don't exactly have the best speed or reflexes. But, I wouldn't know for sure, I'd consider talking to someone like Claymore about it. I wouldn't be surprised if he had happened upon your handiwork and already came up with a solution in his shop."

''Claymore? Dunno the new guy mach but Fitz might do for limbs...he's a limbmaker aftar all'' he replied

[Soleene Stryss]

"Fitz? He's a tech expert too? The more the better, especially with the trouble that's coming up," she gave a nod to make a personal note of that. "...although I hope I never need to visit him with that sort of need. I do like my limbs natural when possible, especially have worked on them for a while."

"Okay, so Fitz makes limbs...what do you two generally do?" She said with an alternating glance at the two.

The wookiee confirms that he's known Suis'louche as long as he's been a rebuilder, just like he's met most of the rebuilders. He claims that he was the first sponsored in and has been a Mandalorian longer than any other person in the enclave, unless there are any hutt, droid or older wookiees around.

Griddak also says that Claymore is usually busy with repair work and different projects to bother with modding droid joints as far as he knows, but he might ask Fitz if it comes up.

He explains that he does three things: standard wookiee limb removal with different severance package options, hunting and tracking game, and finally he has about ten thousand stories of Mandalorians he's known over the past three centuries as well as indepth knowledge of tradition and ritual on par with the Armorer, so... a sort of unofficial lore keeper.

"Heh, I should have known but I also didn't want to assume," she said when she was more or less reminded of how long wookiees lived. "Sorry for overlooking that earlier. I don't see why they wouldn't just make you the official lore keeper, especially when some of them you might have witnessed yourself. That is, unless you were competing with another wookie Mandalorian at the time. So, this limb removal thing...do you sneak up on them before they know it or just go head-on, giving them the few seconds to regret their decision?"

The gungan tilted his head curious at the newcomer but did not interject yet. He knew Griddy loves to tell stories and this seemed to be fertile ground for that.

The elder Mandalorian explains that he was not made official because that is part of the role of the armorer and he never trained with an armorer. He admits that he still probably has enough years in his life that if he learned now he might outlive most other armorers, but that would be up to Veth if he wanted such an old student, and the armorer would have to ask because Griddak isn't applying.

As for the art of limb removal, the wookiee explains that when he can he'll get the drop on an enemy but he's surprisingly not that great at hiding, claiming it's something to do with heavy footfalls and very few practical hiding places in the world. But he does seem to be opposed to passing up the opportunity to surprise his prey if the opportunity presents itself. Griddak shares an account of one time when he was with a group hunting an acklay and they removed three of it's limbs before bringing it down:

The first limb was the easiest because we got the drop on it, using a pheromone lure to draw it into a kill zone. The wookiee dropped from an elevated hiding spot and got a lucky blow that sliced straight through one of it's front limbs on the lower portion, removing the stabbing tip, though it could still use the stump to move around despite the pain it must have felt. The second limb was not him but the great uncle of Dredgen Ordo, who was visiting Saxon and was invited to take part in the hunt, blasted off with a heavy repeater at the base. The third was removed by Griddak leaving the creature unable to move properly, allowing the the visiting Ordo to make the killing blow, destroying the acklay's heart. It was an exciting and glorious hunt and kill.

Soleene gave a few nods at that with a chuckle. "I have to admit, I'm not exactly so great on the stealth thing myself either but, I was wondering if there was someone around here who could pull off being both sneaky and fearsome at the same time. I would think there's enough at the Enclave right now to find a few candidates for that. Of course, being fearsome gives you plenty of mileage already on its own"

She gave a few amazed blinks at Griddak's tale before nodding soundly. "That does sound pretty damned impressive. I've never really taken on anything that had more than...two legs before. I'm not an expert on those creatures but it really sounds like to me you took it out of the fight long with your first strike. Of course, I'm sure it could have also taken one or two of you out before it could go down still."

He shakes his head at that and disagrees, saying that the second leg did more than the others and the third brought it to the ground, but even with three missing you didn't want to be near it's head. They don't stop being dangerous until they are unconscious or dead.
