"...So, that's when Bunparr throws the ball the near the acid pit..." The man paused and looked at Sedrax, while he stared out looking at the darkness. "Uh huh." Sedrax Jalress, a Zabrak responded, not turning his head. "...but then Moncan comes in and fires a blaster shot at it, knocking it off course."

"Uh huh." Sedrax still looks out into the darkness, not really watching the man next to him talk make his wild motions. "...his teammate manages to scramble at it..."

"Yeah..." Sedrax continues on task of guarding the town at night. Keeping on it. Unfortunately for him, he was stuck on the shift with his least favorite human being imaginable. Finjoe Evelnea, a man who knows as much about Huttball as anyone else in town. Unfortunately, he was stuck on a shift with someone who couldn't care less about the topic and unfortunately for Sedrax, Finjoe's social intelligence limited him from recognizing when someone wasn't interested about the topic they were talking about. "

2 years. 2 years of nothing but Huttball on every working night for Sedrax. Sedrax couldn't ignore it, either. Oh no, that's not how brain worked. He was always sharp and listening, which is why he was on this shift. He could keep track of things at night, rustling about. The dangers of the woods. So now that utterly useless knowledge was ingraned in his head. He could probably rattle of some team stats or have some fantasy Huttball team made by the end of the week because of Finjoe.

Except that would be admitting defeat against Finjoe. No, he would not let this human take control of his interests. He would rather be reading books instead, sipping on Boba tea. His wife could deal with the problems after that. He faded back into the conversation and Finjoe was standing there in silence to the reaction, probably thinking of what else he could talk about to fend off the boredom of their shift.

"So, your wife know what she's gonna do about those Mandos?" Sedrax paused and thought for a moment. It was, after all, a rare moment on their shift where Finjoe brought up a topic where he could actually contribute to the conversation, rather than just be a sounding board for Finjoe's inane chattering.

Sedrax shook his head. "No idea. I mean, they've been decent enough. Heard all sorts of things about Mandalorians over the years, but they've been helpful to us, especially of late with the Empire." Finjoe stared at Sedrax and nodded. "Yeah, they're buncha asses, but at least they're honest asses. Don't need to worry about many of them double-crossing us, I guess. Few probably would, but, eh, who knows." Sedrax nodded and sipped some more caf while listening to the sounds of nature in quiet, thinking to himself. It was going to be some time before the Empire got involved in this village. Would the Mandalorians help? Time would only tell, but all he could do was stand next to his wife and be there for her. Her emotional rock; unmoving, unwavering and there to help keep her steady. The two sat in silence for a few moments, thinking about what may come from this, and what they would have to do to protect their new home.

Then Finjoe does a deep sigh and continues."...So I was watching his holovid the other day about two dudes who said they found some Equani. Actual Equani. You thought they died off, but no, they're still there...totally not a forged vid."

Sedrax sipped his caf again, stifling a loud groan, while rolling his eye away from Finjoe. Daybreak couldn't come any faster.
