Making deals - Friendly or Thuggish?

First and foremost - hi everyone! Happy to jump aboard for the second part of this.

Secondly - There's no 3D-chess strategy in Making deals, of course, but I figured we might want to exchange some ideas and maybe get some OOC conversation here and there on whether we want to make friends with New Hope or whether we'd rather just get what we need without much heed to whether they'll like us afterward.

So far we got:

Haat would be MUCH better at just demanding things, so I'm tempted to go that way. But if we want to keep generally honourable, they might be convinced to try and play nice (and probably get little in return XD)

I feel like going the Dishonorable route is a shortcut to getting neighbors who will rat us out the moment they can. ^^; That's my OOC reasoning, but IC Raven just won't act dishonorably towards them.

I do agree that OOC it makes sense to go honorable if possible. Mechanically, so long as there is even or a slim majority on honorable it yields the best possible result but it's an extra risk.

I went dishonorable IC because Cha is...well, ex-Death Watch, ex-crook so asking nicely will not occur to him.

OOC I also feel going dishonourable sounds like a bad idea, but IC Haat just generally wouldn't be used to asking nicely.

That said, I'll wait for a while to post then. If adding to the list of thugs risks making the village turn on us I may go with someone having convinced them to at least try to be less of a scumbag XD
