Missing Mechanic Investigation (D2, EA)

[Fé Kelborn]

Ah, a negotiation. This was familiar territory.

"Vague. I'm not specifically opposed, but I also don't actually know what you're asking for," Fé notes. "What's so important in the vault or these ruins that you're after?"

[Irizka]

"Armor," they say, focusing on Fé, "and not one of any significance to your peoples. This armor was crafted for another, and it belongs to me as the Helm of Mandalore belongs to your people. Beyond this, there is the possibility of your ancient Mandalore having had personal effects on their person which would be of no value traditionally to your people. Of that I would claim possession as well, as it pertains to my avenue of.. research."

[Raven Cadera]

While creepy and probably up to no good, Raven's gut instinct felt like Irizka wasn't trying to pull a fast one on them. They seemed too... calculated to try that with a group of armed and armored warriors.

She looked to Fé, inclining her head slightly towards her to indicate she trusted hers and Garen's insight and decisions here.

[Fé Kelborn]

Fé n9dded. Unknowingly, she was of a similar mind to her companion. The hooded person was suspicious, but this wasn't raises any alarm bells. "Fair enough. I agree. Shall we, then?"

[Irizka]

"I will need to hear agreement from each of you," they insist. Looking now most to Garen and Raven each.

[Garen Saxon]

Garen stood there for some time, silent and unmoving.

"I agree." He finally growled.

[Raven Cadera]

As the two more senior members of the enclave voiced their opinions, Raven turned her visor to Irizka. She had a bad feeling about this, but, "I agree."

[Garen Saxon]

Garen spoke up again. "But bear in mind, we are not the keepers of the vault. We can advocate that this armor be released to you, but we cannot ourselves release it."

[Irizka]

"I have beared that in mind dutifully. I only ask that you yourselves do not interrupt me with word or act, that is enough. As Mandalorian warriors, I expect you will hold to your word," they say, and let that sink in for only half a second. Waving their hand in a smooth beckoning gesture they begin to walk in a easterly direction.

"Follow me, I have sensed someone in this direction," they say.

Irizka would lead them to what would appear to be a tunnel entrance that has been sealed over by recent rubble fall. Everything that has fallen was of some make of ancient steel and machine that created quite the metal cacophony. Without so much as a barely raised hand they moved the rubble, many pieces all at once with what they may have understood as the Force. Settling the rubble away into two distinct piles, each one having traveled high over Irizka's shoulders and down safely away from everyone.

"Down this hall.. I believe he has set up a small camp," they say, glancing back to the group. "I shall depart that he properly thank those who chose to rescue him. Shall you need else?"

[Garen Saxon]

Garen shook his head. "I don't think so." His tone was strange.

He shifted, his visor remaining focused on her. "What do you mean you sensed someone?" He asked, his tone still strange.

[Fé Kelborn]

Fé leaned against the wall, nodding in agreement with Garen. She'd met Jedi a few times during her life, seen them do weird stuff, but this woman didn't have that same vibe. What was her deal?

[Raven Cadera]

Raven also knew some who were Force Sensitive, and one surviving Jedi... Irizka seemed nothing like the one she knew, and behind her visor she eyed the stranger with some suspicion as well, awaiting the answer to Garen's question.

[Irizka]

"When I was young I was trained heavily in use of the Force," they look among the scattered faces. Sensing among them the mix of recognition and not. Looking to Fè most directly, "You do not have a standing order any longer, but your parents- or perhaps even you have been witness to the power of the Jedi of recent past I suspect? My abilities are not unlike their own."

[Fé Kelborn]

Fé nodded slowly. "Yes... I know what you're talking about. You're... not a Jedi, though, are you? You seem different, not like anyone I encountered."

[Irizka]

"No, I have never been and never was a Jedi. Though I did once claim a friend," they raise their hand, wobbling it slightly. "Well, a friend to the person whom I was most devoted. I do not think it wise to consider I was ever Merrium's friend, but dear Merrium was a stalwart Jedi Knight and Master of the force in his own regard. There were not many of his like- and the galaxy will certainly never see such a man again," they say, and hold no emotion to their tone.

[Garen Saxon]

"If you're even like a Jedi," Garen said, speaking slowly, "-you probably shouldn't be here. The Empire's bringing a force to the planet. They're not the sort to distinguish between Jedi and Jedi-like; they don't even distinguish between soldier and civilian."

He glanced around. "In any case, we should see about our friend. We do owe you. As per our agreement."

[Fé Kelborn]

Fé nodded. I'm sure we'll speak again, but... Yeah, we need to get going."

[Raven Cadera]

Jedi and Jedi-like... Raven recalled fighting one on Bellionas. Breaking that lightsaber of hers, as she came after two of their allies. Was Irizka similar to one of those, she wondered silently.

"Let's go," she said with a firm nod, focusing away from the mysterious ally of Mandalore and moving towards the opening created.

[Irizka]

"Know only that my word is my bond, as yours should-" they focus on Garen, a rare smile creeping across their lips. "I do appreciate your concern for me. I will be sure to maintain my safety, and I do hope you do all you can to maintain yours."

[Meiyokashi]

Ahead the way would be littered with debris and the ancient halls of whatever this structure may have once been. Along the floor there was a thin layer of water along the floor that would create a distinct splish sploosh noise as they walked.

Their target destination would arrive within sight within about fifteen minutes of travel and the first showing of it would be the light from a light of some kind emanating from the right side of the hall. Which is a rare sight as many of the other halls are collapsed to ruin and rubble.
