She snickered and gave a shake of her head at that. "Oh, I'm not saying that anyone did all of the work, especially if it was going to end with all of you alive. It just seemed like the first strike did a lot of the lifting, if you catch my drift. Either way, it's not exactly a contest and I'd rather everyone come back to share that story than get any of the bragging rights. Bragging rights don't mean much if you've got nobody else to brag to. So what was the occasion with the Acklay, anyway? Is that a regular tradition I'm missing around here?"

The furry Mandalorian explains that it was a hunt with a few folks that were visiting Saxon on some official business, but it was also before the rebuilders were around. He guesses it would have been around 30 years ago, back when Dredgen was still just a boy and his great uncle was in his prime as a warrior, though he had since died defending their home and people like a true Mando'ad.

The last word he spoke was actually mostly unintelligible to anyone that hasn't figured out the Madclaw Mando'a dialect of Shyrriwook, but it was the approximation in the wookiee language of the Mandalorian word.

"Huh, probably long before I was around. It's a bit hard to imagine that someone could have stories over Dredgen. He's been around but I guess he hasn't really been really around all that long." She said with a momentary glance at home, hoping wookies didn't feel self-conscious about their own age. "Yeah, again, age isn't everything. I could imagine that Dredgen has made the best of his time. We're all likely trying to do the same here."

Admittedly, Soleene wasn't entire keen on taking on an acklay head on but you don't choose how you earn your glory as a Mandalorian, right?

[Griddak Madclaw]

Griddak admits that he didn't even know it was Dredgen's personal family until he told him the story and Dredgen confirmed he'd heard it before. He explains that he doesn't even have the trophy from his first hunt because it deteriorated after three centuries. In a light-hearted tone he states that no one warrior is greater than their own ambition and potential, and having centuries doesn't make a Mandalorian more capable, it just gives more opportunities and stories. He reassures her that she may yet become strong enough to overpower himself in a brawl for all they knew, as long as she keeps training. Who knows, maybe she already can... it's never wise to underestimate a Mandalorian even if you are one.

The gungan chuckled and gave a friendly slap to the wookie's shoulder

''Why aren't you de hamble fluffy killing machine'''

Soleene smirked at the Gungan's chuckle with a shrug of her shoulders. "That's where I'll have to agree with your friend there, especially having seen all that and done a few things. But that's very kind words coming from you, I do hope to earn my keep in some way at the end of the day. Talk is nice but doesn't so much if you're face down when the going gets tough, right?"

The wookiee nods but says there's a place for words too, if there wasn't then the Mando'a would not be so important to our people. Also, he exclaims, without words I couldn't tell Suis'louche that he smells like fish every time he gets back, because this one is always out fishing and bringing back the fresh river smell.

[Suis'louche]

He gave a serious nod

''De smell of fish is a mark of saccess and a badge of pride...all mention to the contrary is just jealousy for there is no greater fisherman then ja in de enclave.''

[Soleene Stryss]

Soleene cleared her throat and straightened her posture. "...Well, it's good that you're proud of what you do, especially when it comes to being the best fisher in the Enclave. Honestly, I don't think that's something that anyone here is going to fight you on when it comes to keeping that title. Well, they might but I don't know how far they'll exactly go. You can't be a master fisher for just a day. You probably have to own it and earn your keep fishing for everyone."

[Suis'louche]

The gungan squinted and and gave a jolly laugh hearing her words

''Fishin' ain't always fishing sister. Ja scout de waterways on both sides of de surface. The guise of a fisherman looking at his fish traps helps remain unseen while you take note...and gives us plenty o'fish.''

He extends a hand

''You mast be relatively new. Ja understand not knowing me but Griddy is hard to miss. Been in the rebuilders long? Ja am Suis'louche.''

"Relatively new, sure. I think everyone can be considered new when standing beside Griddy here," she said with a shrug before accepting the hand with a firm shake. "Soleene. Subtlety or fishing, I'd still say that neither of them are exactly my strongest suits. Supposedly, I still do fine by people regardless."

[Suis'louche]

''He, he. Well met Soleene. Dat said de comparison is not quite fair, is it? When Griddy became a mando our peopl were fighting with blaters made out of rocks.''

Griddak disagrees with a slight roar and clarifies that they at least had bow and arrows available then, followed by a wookiee chuckle.

The gungan grins at the wookie's annoyance before returning to Soleene

''What is your specialty then? I acquire things for de enclave myself. If you need to find something that is hard to find, ja can help''

[Soleene Stryss]

Soleene smirked and motioned a thumb in Griddak's direction. "Hey, look, he's not only wise but he's also wisecrack. Keep it up and I'm going to start to wonder what else they could have you doing around here."

"As for me, eh, I can't say I have a specialty that I could hoard the credit to myself or anything. I'm mostly just like most of the other Mandalorian fighters, just without so much of the tech or probably a little loose on my form...maybe more likely to improvise than plan. I'd like to think of myself as a workhorse, I suppose. I'd rather go where the action is if it's not exactly pretty. On some occasions, I do something useful," she gave a shrug at that.

The wookiee smiled at the back and forth. He then explains that every Mandalorian is essential to their efforts, whether they recognize it or not. Every Imperial they take out is one less Imperial shooting at their sisters and brothers in armor, he claims.
