(D1 MM) More Important Stuff to Do?

In terms of emotional support and awareness, Varina ranked at the bottom. Even when she cared about any distress, it wasn't like her to reach out. That would only threaten the fun, much like this whole thing. "I'm sure my dad would have hired a P.I. if he could afford one to track me through the galaxy. Nobody armed, though, and I bet we'll be seeing some armed peeps soon."

Varina would leave the planning to Rezzie for that. Usually worked out better that way anyways. "All of them are going to be glad we're around soon enough," she said, kicking up her feet again. She raised her beer, halfway towards Rezzie but able to go without. "Cheers to that."

Rezzie, in all their time, rarely did show her emotions so plainly- at least, the negative ones. However, it'd happened once or twice. Which is why the change of topic brought no surprising response from her when she finds herself wearing a smile as she grabs her own drink and raises it in turn, "Cheers to the enclave getting a couple of badasses like us to help them out, eh?" she says, chuckling.

"Would be kinda cool if my dad sent like a goonsquad right? Then we could totally fight those guys and it'd feel completely justified, real action hero stuff," she adds, laughing.

"I just wish they knew how lucky they were." Not that she took compliments well. Or anything well. Whenever she did reflect on these flaws, it dealt a lot of emotional damage to her. Drinking this ale was a lot easier, especially when it was as bitter as her.

"Maybe they'll get that after we take care of the goons." Varina pursed her lips. "He would send them, right? Probably try to take you in alive, of course, but me?" She tapped her heels on the table. "Call me paranoid but I want to be prepared, you know?"

[Rezzie]

"Would be kinda cool.." she says, drifting off on that thought while she stares ahead a little. Lip quirking as she thinks, "I kinda doubt it though? I mean.. my father was a lotta things, least that's what mom said, but a action-movie villain sending a goonsquad to kidnap his daughter to return her home? I mean- kriff, that kinda stuff only happens in those silly vids right?" she laughs, "Ooo, but but, if he did you think he'd put out a bounty for me- Wanted Alive, and then you could see my face on some Hutt's wanted board somewhere right?"

Rezzie takes a drink from her cup, letting it settle with her just as much as the fantasy did, "That'd be cool."

"What? Your dad doesn't have leagues of henchmen at his disposal?" Varina asked, chuckling along with the whole idea. She sobered up, not literally of course, when she thought about bounties. "Up on a Hutt's wanted board somewhere though? Yeah... Especially if he doesn't really get the life, you know? 'Oh these mercenaries will get my daughter nice and smoothly' but really it'd be a bunch of jerks taking up the job."

[Rezzie]

"Least then I'd have someone to show off my draw on- I think I'm getting pretty good!" she says, that touch of pride evident.

"Anyway.."

Varina's gaze went over her mug. Was easier to look over the finer details, try to find a stain to complain about, anything over confronting Rezzie more on how this would bite them in the butt later. "Yeah... Oh, what do you think about the new Rawrbacca?"
