(D0-LM Hangar) Polishing Oksana (Open)

[Claymore Wren]

Clay was doing a buff and wax work on his Aratech 74-Z Speeder Bike named Oksana. He'd done a custom paint job recently to go along with his armor. The color scheme was unusual for Mandalorian standards, but it wasn't as gaudy as some he knew. After his time in racing, he was used to the pearlescent and metallic colors of racers he'd wrenched on.

He set the electric buffer down the the table, and pulled his helmet off to see how the paint looked with it's first polishing after he'd finished the painting process. He had done a most more symmetrical work than his armor, but still half blue, half green and white accents. "Hum, I'm not sure if waxes the repeating blaster is more to less menacing..."

Griddak rumbles something about a short knife or sharp teeth being more effective, since they look more painful before the end. He continues on that most people don't think of the fact that a blaster doesn't need to kill you fast and just assume it will. The wookiee then greets Claymore more properly with a dialect of Shyriiwook that is unique to those called Madclaw, their way of trying to speak the language in a different voice. He extends an arm and asks how he's been.

He looked over to the wookiee, that was not much taller than himself. "Hello, Griddak. There is no replacing a sharp knife, that's for sure. I've been good. I'm just admiring my handy work now. I really don't get a lot of time to the work I do for myself this days... How have you been?" He grabbed a microfiber towel and touched up a tiny spot on the speeder.

The wookiee nodded in understanding not getting a lot of time to spend on personal gear with how busy the rebuilders have been. His excitement shows a bit though, as he mentions some of the game he's heard is prevalent on the planet, showing a particular interest in seeing a Spiralis and possibly seeing about hunting one. Griddak asks Claymore if he has any updates on the basilisk, wondering if there was anything that he might be able to do to help with getting it working again, even though he doubted it since he was far from the most mechanically talented Rebuilder.

"Ha, you are very excited about the basilisk war droid aren't you? Things are going well, but it's an an ancient relic. I've helped for my expertise with the unfamiliar weapons systems and repairing a per bits I was given, Veth is the lead. I'm too good at slicing in fire fights to to here full time. So I'm scent out world a fair amount." He said with a smirk.

"Oh, and I've been helping with tightening up here too." He flipped his optical camo system on for 15 seconds, then turned it off. With the bright lights, it was not great, but it was been an alright show the optical illusion his was just a head. "And, test said upgrades too." He said with a smile.

The Mando wookiee explains that he's been living with stories of the basilisks for a few hundred years, so he's definitely hoping they can get the one in storage running. Then he says something similar to a prayer, though it is in that Madclaw dialect and difficult for many non-Mandos to understand.

"Huh, yeah... When I joined the clans, I was sort of obsessed with the droids, and to a lesser extent the animal too." He put the towel over his armor shoulder. "Hum, 15 years ago." It was a long time for an Arkanian Offshoots, not living more than about 50 years or so. "The tech for the droids are over 4,000 years ago. It has been awe-inspiring to work on the pieces I've been allowed to. Some of the systems are just older versions of what we have now. Others are, well, look like stuff from another galaxy. Maybe Veth will let you see it, but he will probably give you a task or three and be sworn to secrecy most likely." He rubbed his left cheek with the light blue tattoo that resembled the purple one on his helmet. Then push his head into his helmet. "I've not sure where Veth is right now."

The Madclaw Saxon jokes about knowing more secrets than any other bit of knowledge, having had so many folks that shared them and then taken them to the grave, so a few more made no difference. He laughs about the Mando Madclaws not even being around for a quarter of that, but even still, he's had 3+ centuries to collect stories of the droids. He confides that story of Canderous Ordo was one of his favorites.
