[Meiyokashi]

Rumors tell of a young pair of lovers who came to this planet ages ago to lay low from Republic law enforcement and found themselves chased to this very spot. However, an end behind bars would not be their lot in life and together the two daringly jumped from the edge of the cliff down into the lakes waters below. A fall which would have daunted even the more daring of individuals given the height and nearness to the land all the way down. Yet a gruesome end at the bottom of the cliff they did not meet, but they nor their bodies were ever found.

While most tell this tale suggesting that the young lovers managed to evade the Republic officers and secret themselves away back into the galaxy, or found themselves a new peaceful life on this planet before it became a popular route. There are some scarcer tales which suggest they instead found themselves involved in an even deeper mystery. A mystery which links this tale with another of ancient repute. Whatever happened for these two the galaxy at large could never be certain, and thus made it a far more interesting tale than it ever had any right to be.

From the cliff's edge a person looking down could only see death below, as the somewhat jagged edge of the cliff face leads into a slightly smoother bit of land before dumping off into the depths of the lake itself. Jumping from this height would almost certainly end in a gruesome end. A fact which would cause nearly anyone to doubt the validity of the story, and yet it clearly continues to be believed as the ground leading to the cliffs edge is well worn down with years of foot traffic.
