[Day 3 EM] A Force For Good (Closed)

[Mayrelli Fayedd]

Mayrelli had woken up early that morning, only resetting her alarm twice before she rolled out of her bunk, haphazardly tossed on her armour and then hustled with some pre-prepared bags full of supplies for the clearing where they'd secreted the Jedi.

She wasn't entirely sure what Jedi wore (but she hoped they weren't averse to pants) or what they ate (...probably something vegan?) So she'd picked a little of everything.

Before long she's huffing and puffing her way into the serene clearing and looking around.
"Coo-eee? Uh, hello? It's me, May. One of the folk from yesterday. I've got granola?"

Coming to this place always put a soul at a little extra bit of peace. So, perhaps it was no surprise that when Mayrelli arrived they would find that the young woman they'd encountered the other day was busy in a bit of meditation. Of course, that would be a hard spot considering how serenely the woman was sitting after the state she'd left her in the other day. Eyes closed and facing the statue at the center.

It takes May a few passes to spot the still woman, the pilot's vision tended to be based on movement. But eventually they alight on her target and she stops waving granola around.

Instead, trying to remember the best approach she goes to carefully stack the provided goods up against the jedi's shelter, while shooting the other woman a few glances. Meditating was good, probably. Serenity was a huge improvement. When she's done May contents herself with walking around the small pond, not one to stay still.

"I have not had the chance to properly thank you," she says, and perhaps surprisingly holds that discipline of tone to her voice that many Jedi have carried. There was a sense of authority in the way she spoke and it nearly removed the memory of how she had been nearly only a day prior.

Mayrelli pauses, one foot had been raised to kick a pebble as far as humanly possible, the foot slowly lowers.
"Oh that's no worry. Saving people is what we do, well sometimes at least, often it's sort of tangential." She pauses for a moment before adding "You seem uh, much better. It's a nice glade, isn't it?"

The Mandalorian starts walking back around the pond to the Jedi.
"Ummm, and I bought you some stuff? Food and clothes and things. Had to sort of guess your size, so I hope it was accurate."

At the mention of seeming better, Ilena can only look away. An embarrassed flush taking to her cheeks as she nods- it was perhaps impossible to deny after how Mayrelli had first found her. Gazing up toward the woman with the faintest of smiles- smiles were hard these days but kindness had a way of bringing them out even now.

"It.. has been a long time since I have spoken with someone sympathetic.. do you.. understand who I am? What I am?" she asks, disbelief coloring her tone.

"Well, what someone is, that's sort of a big question. Like-" She taps her chestplate. "-I'm a pilot, right? But I'm not just a pilot, I'm a really good pilot, and I'm spunky. Also a mechanic, teller of tales, a natural acrobat, really a bunch of other things. We're not just what we are. Dad was a mechanic, but he was also dad."

She keeps walking over and plonks herself down on a rock near Ilena.

"But you got one of them laser swords. And I think you were worried about people chasing you. So I think that means you're a jedi, right? Those monk guys? Not just a jedi, or only a jedi, but maybe in part? I don't know much about it, but you guys were sort of police before the empire. Then the empire said you tried to stop it. So that means you're probably good guys."

She cocks her head to see if she was on the right track.

"From what I have learned, the Jedi decided to try and overthrow the supreme chancellor, a coup, and for what others have done I am now reviled and hated across much of the galaxy-" she says, and looks forward away from Mayrelli when she does. Finding a spark of anger deep in her heart heating up at the thought of it all.

Breathing in deep she tries a breathing exercise to calm herself but it doesn't appear to help much.

"I was barely more than a padawan- raised to the proper rank of Jedi just weeks before it all happened. I.. I barely escaped with my life," she says, and looks around to the surrounding trees. "Now I live here- an exile. Not the life I was promised, but I prefer it to death," she says, getting a lot more off her chest than she was prepared to.

May whistles. "Well, that sucks. Hey, you mind if I have some of the granola?" She rips the packaging off a bar and starts munching on it happily.

"Sounds like you got screwed when it wasn't your fault in the slightest. Man, been there, roughly galaxy sometimes. I'm not living the life I was promised either. Not because of a coup or anything, just regular murder." She pauses chewing for a moment. "To clarify, not any murdering I did, my family were the victims in said crime. Just, thought I'd make that clear."
Then she's back to the bar.
"Well, I got bad news and I got good news. Any particular order you prefer that in?"

[Meiyokashi]

"The Empire isn't searching for me, but they are searching for you. Do I have that correct?' she asks, a little sharpness to her tone.

[Mayrelli Fayedd]

May nods and shoots her a thumbsup.

"Pretty much! We got on their radar for you know, not being fans of the empire. So they're here to wipe us out, and we're holding them off until we get away. That's the bad news. Good news is, you want a lift?"

She gestures with the half eaten bar, which seemed to descend into the darkness of her helmet only to get buzzsawed.
"I mean, you might not have to. You could probably go hide somewhere else on the planet, we could maybe help with that. But it would be risky. With us we could probably drop you off anywhere you want."
