"....You know I can tell when you're lying, right? It's this psychic ability I have when someone says something untrue and I can tell because it's just obviously false. And you so can't go to the beach anytime, if you could I'd be at the beach all the time. It is so hard working on a tan under full body armour. Healthy skin needs light!."

She sighs to herself, at least they weren't missing much sun in the evening.
"I'm just saying you need to make sure you have a life of your own. Otherwise you're just gonna be living someone else's. And that's lame, isn't it?"

"You do not. I could run circles around you if I cared to... In multiple ways too." Without her jacket, she couldn't stuff her hands into the pockets... Unless she wore it over sometime! Pretty counterproductive for sneaking about though. "Besides, I wear my armor the least out of all of you. Just look at Soleene." Poor Soleene.

"This is my life though. I've chosen to dedicate it to something which is definitely not lame."

"Really? Even with the one leg? I'm real fast on my feet. Just all 'kapow!' and then gone!"
Mayrelli resists the urge to remove her own helmet.

"The armour is kinda lame but you know, rules are rules. Still wouldn't want to be Soleene, she takes it super seriously. Maybe because she's a Zeltron? All sorts of pressure comes with that."
A slight shrug.
"Yeah, fighting the empire isn't lame, it's cool even. But doing one thing the whole time is lame, fact."
She seems to consider this a logical coup de grace.

[Varina Ordo]

Varina's leg whirled again. No matter how much she wanted to restrain herself, the frustration still seeped into her voice. "What? Are you going to take off my cybernetic or something?" she asked, doing her best to make a joke out of it.

"I mean, the armor is part of the culture. It does a bunch of cool stuff and, well, it's kind of fashionable when you're not around the Rebuilders." Otherwise it was just more of the same... And that was kind of lame. Among a bunch of random jerks in their shabby armor? Totally cool!

And unfortunately for Mayrelli, Varina had a counter at the ready. "That's why I kill criminals too."

"Yeah, no, the leg comment was lame. That ain't me Varina, or I guess it was me, briefly, but like a mean me. So nah, I take that back. You can run as fast as me."
She claps the other Mando on the shoulder.
"Killing criminals is uhh, well....yeah. Look, I guess you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. But we're definitely criminals too. So you know, maybe try taking them alive, just to vary things?"

She taps the rifle on her back.
"I got my taking 'em alive weapon, and it's great. You know you usually get paid more too?"

[Varina Ordo]

"Faster," Varina said, kicking another rock with her metal foot. Some day, she was going to get really good at that. For now, it was more like a nudge.

"I can take people in alive too. That's why I have a garrote." Varina sighed. "And I know how bounties work. I just don't really take those that much. I'm more like a pirate, I guess."

[Mayrelli Fayedd]

"Well, can't argue with that." Pause. "The pirate thing at least, taking someone alive with a garrotte is a weird flex, but okay. For what it's worth, being a bounty hunter is definitely cooler. You arrest pirates, so you're higher up the food chain there."

She goes for a rock kick of her own and the pebble bounces wildly down the path as she nods in satisfaction.
"We should hunt a bounty some time. I've always wanted a sidekick!"

[Varina Ordo]

"What's weird about a garrote? It's all about who's stronger and it's great at keeping people silent during an ambush." Varina shrugged. "Lots of a dead bounty hunters out there too. All scraping at the bottom of the barrel, really."

Contrary to her usual attitude, Varina didn't outright rile up over Mayrelli's suggestion. Instead, she said, "I'm never a sidekick nor a lackey. I'm an equal."

"What if they got a really thick neck? A good old shock stick always works, and you can even jab folks anywhere."
She glances back at Varina for a few moments, thinking.
"Okay....how about junior partner? We split it 50/50, but I get to call myself the senior partner."

[Varina Ordo]

"At that point, I'd rather just take them in dead. How am I going to carry him back?" Varina shrugged. "That or I go after the skinny ones. Usually girls my age are skinny." Her eyes widened, totally concealed under the helmet. That, well, came out incredibly wrong.

"Okay. You are super old so it checks out." "

[Mayrelli Fayedd]

"Yeah, because you ain't done growing yet, because you're weedy."
Mayrelli's harrumph echoes in her helmet.
"I am the perfect age, full of wisdom and youthful vigour. A perfect balance." Then she goes for the older person coup de grace.
"You'll understand when you're older."

[Varina Ordo]

"Weedy? I'm fully grown! Just ask the Empire. I got them quivering in their boots."

If the purpose of the coup de grace was to leave Varina speechless, then it succeeded. "I, uh, yeah, I guess I'll be old like you someday."

"And fully grown? Hmppph, maybe! But like, not!" Ha, zing. "Anyway, while we're waiting for that I wanted to talk knives with you, see I've had my eyes on this little vibro dagger but I worry it just isn't sturdy enough to pry open stormtrooper armour..."

"Why are you trying to pry open the armor? You just need to pierce into it..." Nonetheless, if there was any topic Varina could discuss, it was knives.
