[D6 LA] Playing With Fire

While Raven didn't hide from her fellow Mandalorians that she was headed to Jaster's, she didn't share the actual reason. Sure she had been there a few times before for socialising and the occasional drink, but this time she had something else in mind.

These folks had contacts she did not, and for the right price information could be bought. Unfortunately, Raven wasn't really the best one at greasing palms like this. So that might be money down the drain.

Laying down a mug of some foul liquid in front of Raven, Elmira whips a bar rag over her shoulder. Not engaging right away she lets Raven sit a moment. Breaking in nice and easy..

"So, see you're having some rough luck out here. Wanna to bend an ear?"

Raven drinks lightly of her beer as she eyes Elmira, recalling she seems like an alright person. "Maybe... " she sighs a bit and places the mug down. "This kind of stuff isn't usually my forte, to be honest. Tipping money around for information, that is."

Usually she had been the one that had been sought out by others looking for hired muscle. Word tended to get around when you were good at fighting and acting like a bodyguard.

"You've probably seen a lot of different folks around here lately, I'm guessing, with all that's going?"

"Less different folk here lately than there's ever been, actually," she cracks a smile. "Empire doesn't exactly let people in and out these days, but I do know a whole lot more about those that still are sticking around. Some keep talking about runnin' for hyperspace but most don't wanna risk being intercepted if they can just wait it out."

"Ornery bunch of louts right now, with who's left. Can't blame 'em. Whatcha askin' about for?"

She chuckles a bit, figuring she and the other Rebuilders probably fit into the ornery bunch of louts. "Just... looking around for some people I met briefly. Mandos." There is a small pause as she sips the beer again. "Guy and a young girl - long brown hair, blue eyes. Think she was called Cass?"

"I don't imagine I'd know more about any Mandalorians that have come through here than you do," she says, but offers her a reassuring smile. Glinting eye revealing the direction this conversation was about to go.

"Still, I know these people here. I can go ask around for you and see what I find, but while I do that I need you to do a favor for me, deal?"

Her lips form a thin line as she considers it for a moment. "Alright, I'll bite," she says and place her mug down on the counter, reaching for her comm in one of the small pouches on her belt.

"What's this favor you need?"

"My niece," she gestures toward one of the nearest exits from the bar itself. "She left a bit ago and I can't leave to go after her. Something is itching at the back of my head that she's off getting herself into trouble. Do me the favor of making sure she doesn't do anything I'll regret?"

Raising a hand, a playful smile, "And before you wonder- yes, this is going to be a pain in the ass of a job but that's what it costs," she chuckles. "So, you in?"

Eyes glances towards the indicated exit, then back to Elmira. Family problems... young ones getting into trouble on an Imperial world.

"Sure, I can do as much, I guess." Sounded like it would be easier than jobs that required cleaning up her armor after. "What do I need to know about her?"

"Looks like me, a bit- only kid about, 17. Her name's Riannon, and you can tell her that Elmira sent you if she asks. Which she might not really care," she waves a finger toward Raven, indicating the whole of her. "Sure your armor will draw her attention a bit."

"She's young and likes trouble. With everything locked down like it's been I can't trust she has any new stories from those passing through to keep her interested. Might be off causing trouble just for the kicks. But she wouldn't travel too far, hates the woods,", she chuckles, shaking her head. "Still a kid."

"Right," she smiles a little bit. Unhooking the helmet from her belt, Raven gives a nod to Elmira before heading out, sliding the helmet over her head as she walk.

Time to go look for a teenager looking for trouble then.

Raven wanders a while looking around, seeing who she might see among this pirate port. To Elmira's credit her warning proves quite helpful as an argument catches Raven's ear. A young woman shouting back at low voices just on the other side of some stacked crates, a rudimentary wall/walkway. On the other side of this crates rests a ship.

A ship that the young woman apparently tagged with some kind of imagery. Likely, given the current situation of her backed against it by five ornery looking pirates, without the captains approval.

[OOC:]
If approaching stealthy: Average.
Perception @ 3eC may also be rolled.

Being an unseen hunter was more in line with her skillset than avoiding sensors from TIE interceptors, so Raven had an easy time making her approach unnoticeable.

However, unless there was an ambush, she wasn't able to notice much out of the ordinary, as she was too focused on her target and the pirates that were no doubt going to be troublesome to deal with.

"How do you expect to pay us back for the damage to our hull?" one of the Nikto of the crew says, his voice gravelly and rough. Face traced with many scars of past conflicts. Can only suppose under his garb that he's got way more.

Image

"I don't. Maybe you should be paying me, actually? This art is sick and your ship looks so much-"

Crack!!

Riannon holds her cheek, fighting back sobs. Nikto skin was rough and it certainly added to the pain when you get backhanded. Staring down on the young woman nearly four feet taller than her he breathes heavy through his nostrils fuming with anger.

Well, stealth only lasted so long, and what Raven was seeing wasn't something she was going to let slide. Slinking out of the shadows like a predator, the Mandalorian woman stares down the pirates.

"Didn't think big tough guys like yourselves had to pick on kids these days..." she says, keeping her hands visible and empty for now. "That kid happens to be my target."

Dredgen barrels through, bumping Raven's pauldron with his own accidentally. Like a charging bull he picks the captain up by the scruff of his neck. Wailing on him with a solid blow to the cheek, knocking the Nikto out of his own hand. All eyes weren't on Raven, because they were all on this charging bull.

"Kriffin'," he reals, hand to cheek. Growling the Nikto stands tall, bringing a flurry of blows against Dredgen that are all deflected by the Mandalorians skill. Raging he yells, "Boys, get him!"
