[D6 LA] Playing With Fire

[Raven Cadera]

Raven listens, nodding at some points, and otherwise drinking from her beer. To her, the pieces of the puzzle were falling into place, creating a clearer picture. The beer helps her focus on taking in the information and forget her own feelings at the moment.

"I see... thank you. What about that Crow guy?" she asks and formulates on how to ask about Rhiannon's parentage with what Elmira had dropped so far.

[Elmira]

"No one knows him all that well-" she laughs, shrugging. "Most of the folk around here cling to the kids story cause of the spooky return from the dead vibes of it. Feels more fantasy than anything, eh?" she shakes her head. "Couple of the guys said they saw him once in Mandalorian space, working the job. And.." she sighs.

"Forgive me for bringing it up like this, but it's not too much of a leap to guess these guys were brought in to take you on. Ask me.. I'm guessing he's probably just a guy who did his job so good that someone handpicked him for the team. Like.. padding your team with a good corellian sacker to keep your bases covered."

"That makes sense, yeah," both the ghost story holding more value and this Crow-person.

Raven casts a glance over in Rhiannon's direction, making sure not too much trouble is being stirred up. "You said she was your niece, yeah? Her parents live in New Hope then, or...?"

[Elmira]

"New Hope hasn't been here as long as Riannon and I, no, they're pretty new. Her parents.. well, her dad was my brother. Mom didn't stick around to let me get to know her when she dropped her off on my doorstep about ten years back," she sighs.

"Brother was already dead by that point so I had myself, and this kid with no one to raise her. So.. I did it. For my brother who would have been so much better of a father," she says, meeting Raven's gaze. "Why do you ask?"

She shrugs. "Figured if she lived with her folks over with the colony, maybe she needed someone make sure she got home safely." With that Raven gives Elmira a small smile, "but doesn't seem like that's needed if she's home here, yeah."

Raven glances once more over the room then back to Elmira. "Don't let me keep you from your job though. You've given me more info than I could've hoped to find myself."

[Elmira]

"Pleasure to meet you dear. Thanks again," she offers Raven a kind smile, and quickly moves to start tending the rest of the bar.

"It was a pleasure. Stay safe," she offers the woman with a nod of her head, and proceeds to finish off most of her beer.

Before leaving she places some credits on the counter as payment, then heads out to look for Dredgen. That one would be easier to handle first.

The helmet is back on as she steps outside. The comforting steel mask that could hide her feelings better.

[Dredgen Ordo]

She would find the cantankerous bull that he was just outside the perimeter of the encampment. Set up atop a couple spare crates, and a smaller one to kick a foot up onto, he was.just finishing cleaning up some triage on his wound that he'd received from the dagger before. Busy enough that he wouldn't turn to Raven before her full arrival.

Walking into his view an armored hand rises in greeting. A pause is given to the wound he's mending, before the visor turns to him fully.

"Didn't get any names from her, but according to Elmira the girl got dropped in her lap about ten years ago by her mother, who left. The father, who was Elmira's brother, had died before that happened."

[Dredgen Ordo]

Dredgen pauses, freezing a moment in time while he lets that settle over him. Sighing deeply he nods. Removing his helm, he sets it to his side. Free from that constraint he breathes in deeply of the fresh air around them.

"Thank you."

"It was no problem, Dredgen," Raven offers sincerely in return, hooking her thumbs into her belt as she regards him through her visor for a moment. Feeling that it was a touch awkward however, she frees up her hands and finds a place to sit on a crate beside Dredgen.

Removing her own helmet, it wasn't hard to see she was tired. Though who wasn't tired in the Enclave these days. "Need someone to talk to?"
