[D1, MM] A Merry Chase Thru the Woods (Group 2)

Players: 2 Groups of 4
Imperial Scouts have begun their search for your base. While they have not come close to finding it yet, Mandalore has deemed strategically important that attacks are launched well outside of the area of the base in order to get the Imperials to focus on somewhere else, giving you all more time to determine how to deal with them.
Objectives are as follows:
1) Ensure communication of attack is sent out by enemy before eliminating them.
2) Leave fake evidence of a potential encampment in the area.
3) Exit before reinforcements arrive.

Players: When entering this thread, please roll Cool for initiative. You may optionally also roll a Stealth check in order to potentially ambush the targets a at a average difficulty, upgraded twice. Success on this roll will allow you to add a bonus dice to your first attack roll, while a triumph will allow you to upgrade it. On a failure, a setback dice is added to the roll and a Despair will upgrade the difficulty. Advantages and Threats will be ignored for this roll.

Garen, with his full armor and his big hammer in hand, was not stealthy. But he certainly was ready.

It seemed that Soleene wasn't the only one not being stealthy here. They knew where they were and vice versa, why waste time on this dance?

As Mayrelli waits in the foliage, Garen, Mauricio, & Soleene approached the Imperial Squad in full armor and guns out. They didn't need to be shy about the ass kicking they were about to unleash upon these Stormtroopers.
"Sir, we got Mandalorians incoming!" shouted one of the scouts, looking up from his binoculars. "How many, soldier?" shouted their Sgt, looking back at him. "I count, 3, sir!" He grunts. "Cocky bastards. Men, let's go teach them the might of the Empire!" They all shout in unison as they begin to prepare for the coming battle.

As soon as they were spotted, Mauricio kicked on his jetpack, and then rocketed towards the sergeant. Both blasters instantly drawn and firing away. Without a thought, he sped past, doing a half roll in the air, firing both shots directly into the sergeant, the first with a critical hit between the connection joints.
MM1 - A Merry Chase Thru the Woods - Firing at the Sergent (Agility 4, Ranged - Light 2, Accurate 2, Quick Strike 1, Two Weapon, Guns Blazing, Short Range, Adversary 1):

Paired Weapon attachment reduces the cost to trigger the second hit to 1 advantage, Sorry About the Mess reduces the cost to trigger a critical injury on the sergeant.
Spending 1 advantage to trigger second weapon, spending 2 advantages to trigger a crirical injury
Sergeant takes 9 damage before soak, a critical injury, and then 9 damage before soak.
Critical Injury on Sergeant (Lethal Blows 2):

The rush against them was unexpected and as their leader was gunned down by the Mando with the Jetpack, the others quickly begin to scramble.
"Fall back in line, men! Get behind the trees and focus fire on the flying Mando! Scouts, get on the comms; we need reinforcements!" He aims his blaster rifle and attempts to shoot down the Mando in the meantime, but he was moving along a bit too fast for him to get him. Still, some suppressing fire wouldn't hurt to move him into a better firing position for his men.

[Ghosting for Soleene]
The lean mean Soleene machine hustles forward under the incoming fire, pistol sending a few short blasts in the other direction as she quickly closed the distance sword held aloft in her other hand. The servos in her armour sing as she runs.

The last scout takes aim and pews at the target and misses as well, then moves into cover before the rest of the Mandalorians get in.

Even being in the middle of the firefight, Mauricio was cool, calm and collected. As blaster fire impacted on his armor, he took steady aim... one blast lancing directly into the Sergeant.
Crossing his left arm across his torso, Mauricio then returned fire with his second shot at the Scout who had shot him, the blast piercing into his armor.
Then his jetpack screamed and he launched high into the sky, the in built scanner keeping the enemies highlighted in the HUD of his helm.
Maneuver 1: Aim

2 strain maneuver: use my one pilot only maneuver to rocket away to extreme range

13 damage before soak to the Sergeant, spensing the Triumph to trigger my second weapon, and with Spitfire, I direct the second shot to the Scout who shot me and suffered 2 strain (rivals have no strain track and thus it goes to wounds) and they take 13 damage before soak.

There's a rustle from the bushes and the loud 'KA-THUNK' of a slide being racked. One of the stormtroopers turns.
"Clever girl."
And then the group gets blasted with some laser buckshot as Mayrelli pops out from concealment.
Day 1 MM, A Merry Chase Thru The Woods, turn 2 shooting at stormtrooper minions with 1 defence, short range, boost from emerging from stealth:

(( 2 maneuvers to get to short range, shoot the minions, 12 damage, then 1 advantage to activate blast to hit all the minions for 7 damage, then 2 advantage to heal the 2 strain taken this round. 1 advantage to give the next ally to go a boost.

As their commander falls dead, the wounded scout at the one healthy common it. "Get those comms up!" As he grasps his arm, watching the scout troopers get completely wiped out by a surprise Mayrelli attack, the last two scouts focus fire.
"Mayday, mayday, we are under heavy fire surprise Mandalorian attack. Victor Foxtrot 04 05! Send reinforcements! I repeat, send reinforcements!" The two scouts knew that they weren't going to survive until their request was made, but they were going to do their best to stall. After calling it in, it took aim and fired at Mayrell in a desperate final stand against the menace and landing a very solid hit against her.

It seemed the others already took their share of the attention already and Soleene was still getting herself in position for the fight! In lieu of jetpacks, she still had her feet to rely on. While the ride would have been nice, she supposed she'd rather have the comfort of being able to adopt her preferred fight stance than either hovering or being weighed down by some extra bulk.
She got herself into position after that jog earlier and she brought up her vibrosword to take a swing at one of them as she took their flank. "Hey! Heads up!"
Move from Medium to Short.

With some flashy moves, Soleene finishes a scout, clearly quite afraid of her as he died. The last scout remaining panicked and started firing at her.
He quickly turned and fired at Soleene, screaming aloud as he knew he only moments to live.
