Utilizing Duty as a group resource altered for the PbP scale, the major mechanic of this game will be as a type of special currency that the players will accrue through personal events, or broad game events and be able to make use of them in order to help reinforce the enclave before the final battle. Over the course of the game there will be one Daily Event for every day which has an outcome that directly influences either one specific entry of the Enclave or attributes points to a special communal pool. This communal pool will be attached to a brief voting system which will allow players to direct the development of the Enclave together as a group. However, this is not the only way to accrue or spend Duty.
Players may also gain Duty through some personal actions, as well as selecting to take some for Obligation in Character Creation. Duty collected in such a manner will be used exclusively on something determined by the player who possess' the Duty. Players may of course pool their personally collected Duty together to achieve a result which they could not achieve alone. With such cooperation, or perhaps through valiant effort, other avenues may be open to players who wish to invest into something other than the enclave or themselves. New Hope, the colony, is one other place where Players may choose to spend Duty to achieve other things outside of the development of the enclave.
Any player with personal duty held may also choose to cash it out for a value of 2,500 credits per 5 Duty spent.
